Exam Day
- Exam date and time: Sunday, 17 January 2027, 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.
- Reporting time: Candidates can report at the examination centre mentioned in their admit card from 7:00 am on Sunday, January 17, 2027, with a printout of the Admit Card and a Valid Original Photo Identity Proof. Please arrive well before the start of the examination to allow sufficient time for the biometric exercise, wherein your thumb impression and photograph will be captured. The thumb impressions recorded during the examination may be cross-verified again at the time of admission, and therefore, it is recommended to ensure that fingers are clean and amenable for quick capture.
Entry to examination centre after the start of examination (9:00 AM) will not be permitted. - Only candidates with a valid Admit Card and an original Photo Identity Proof will be allowed inside the examination centre.
- The identities of the candidates will be verified by invigilators and IIT representatives. If the identity of any candidate is in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the examination. However, at their discretion, the authorities may permit the candidate to appear for the examination after completing certain formalities. No extra time will be awarded to the candidates for the time spent in completing these formalities. If candidates with doubtful identities are permitted to appear, their candidature shall be subject to the decision of the UCI Committee, which shall be final and binding.
- Impersonation and/or use of any unfair means in the examination is a serious offence which will result in an immediate disqualification of the candidate from UCEED and lead to criminal proceedings against the candidate.
- Candidates will NOT be allowed to carry any electronic devices (mobile phones, smart phones, watches of any type, calculators, tablets, smart glasses and the like), abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, and so on to the examination hall. A list of forbidden items will be put up on the website (www.uceed.iitb.ac.in) before the exam.
- Drawing Materials: Candidates must bring their own pencils in a transparent packet. Shades of black colour are permitted. However, sketch pens, color pencils, poster colors and other colouring materials are NOT permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates may bring a clean writing board of A4 size. Exchanging and borrowing of these materials is NOT permitted inside the examination hall. Examination centres will NOT be able to provide any drawing related stationary.
- One Scribble Pad for doing rough work will be provided to the candidates at the start of the paper. The Scribble Pad would have a header page for the candidates to write down their Name and UCEED Roll Number. These have to be signed by the candidate and countersigned by the Invigilator. Candidates are NOT allowed to take their signed Scribble Pads back with them at the end of the examination. No extra scribble pad will be given to candidates.
- Candidates have to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of the examination.
- Part-A of the examination is a computer-based test. In the event of any technical problems, candidates may approach the invigilator for assistance, and steps will be immediately taken to remedy the problem or assign a different computer terminal if required. Candidates will get the allotted time to attempt their paper even in the event of any technical problem, and the time lost due to technical problems shall be automatically adjusted in the server.
- Any request for change in the examination date and time will not be considered.
