BITS Design School will consider UCEED Scores for their B Des (Hons) programme, 2026 intake. Interested candidates are required to complete their application to BITSDES with their UCEED Registration/Roll Number on or before 01 Feb 2026. Only candidates who have submitted their BITSDES application by 01 Feb 2026 will be able to upload their UCEED scores when these are released. Shortlisted candidates will be required to then clear a portfolio interview. Do note that BITSDES is not a part of the joint seat allocation process conducted by IIT Bombay. The Eligibility Criterion-3 in Section 7 of UCEED 2026 (page#18) is modified in version 1.1:

(i) The following statement has been removed, in the Version 1.1.
"Candidates who have been allotted a B. Des. seat in any of the participating Institutes, and have NOT withdrawn from the admission process by the end of the withdrawal schedule after Round IV, are not eligible to appear for UCEED 2026 even if they are left with an option of second attempt."

(ii) The guidelines on the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) are more clearly stated.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur are done through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). Students who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2025, or appearing in 2026, in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities) are eligible to appear for UCEED 2026.

The online registration with regular fees will start from 5 pm. The deadline for the same is 31 October, 2025.
